I compiled this page from information I found on the internet from various sources plus
a eulogy from his best friend and classmate, Irwin Dvorkin.
May his memory be a blessing.

He was survived by his wife, Suzanne Kent (married in 2005); his daughter, Lisa Richman (Paul Marone); his grandchildren Harper and Isaac Marone, and his sisters, Michele Richman and Claudine Richman. A visitation was held on October 17, 2018 at the Danjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008.

Following graduation from Central High School in 1967 he received his B.A. degree in ???????????? from Temple University. He then earned an ???????????????????????? from ?????????????????????????????????????? in 19??. He also studied ???????????????????????????????????????????????

  • Sent to me on 9/19/2019 by Irwin Dvorkin, comments on their lifelong friendship and these excellent photos.

My best friend gone in a heartbeat, his memory alive and fervently beating and vivid within my heart.

Monday I lost my lifelong boyhood friend Harry. The echoes of his voice, his loud laughter still echoing in the chambers of my brain.

Our multiple daily Facetime chats allowed us to share our day-to-day joys and sorrows. To relive our many boyhood and adulthood memories. The secrets he kept, the comfort I put forth. The camaraderie is priceless, cannot be duplicated nor replaced.

Yes he's gone. All the platitudes referring to no more pain and he's in a better place may well be true, yet they don't fill the daily void , the vacuum left by his sudden passing.

As it is so often said, time no doubt will heal this wound.

I choose to remember him at his best, a smile on his face, a kind soul so tortured by pain, yet so durable and tough that it didn't diminish his lust for life.

Rest in peace my brother. Sleep well, enjoy an eternity of peace. Read the books you couldn't finish, and listen to the music you love.

Harvey:
I was very sad to learn from the recent post that Harry Richman passed away last year.

We grew up directly across the street from each other on Thouron Avenue. He was “Ricky” to me and my family. I have fond memories of playing touch football on our front lawns, bus trips downtown with a stop at Leary’s bookstore, and going to his father’s seafood store and occasionally delivering orders together. He was very intellectual, well read, with a love for everything French. Unfortunately, we lost touch after graduating Central and Temple University. May his memory be a blessing.

Harvey, thank you so much for the post and your dedication to the 226th class.
